Iloilo Business Park is the biggest and largest township of Megaworld outside Luzon with over 35 billion-peso investment.
Steadfastly, the development is ongoing and keeps on growing as Ilonggos and future investors anticipate a leap for business opportunities, lifestyle elevation and expanding investment in the Visayas.
In the coming months, more and developments awaits Iloilo Business Park, the future business and lifestyle township of Western Visayas.

ILOILO ONE OF MOST CYCLE-FRIENDLY CITIES IN THE WORLD

Realistically, the bicycle infrastructure in Iloilo still pales in comparison with other great cities, but the city is now at the forefront of being a pioneer bicycle-friendly major city here in the Philippines, and there are now many pedestrian and bicycle-centered projects being planned within the city, plans that many Filipinos, especially here in Metro Manila, wish to also have.
But what if your metropolis has 15 million people? What do we do with a problem like Metro Manila? I could only give one answer: political will.
If political will in Iloilo is making all of these happen, why not in other cities in the Philippines? It would be really hard to do this in Metro Manila since many more factors are there to consider. The most important one is to develop more transit lines to encourage public transportation to decongest roads and develop pedestrian and biking programs.
But this is the challenge to its politicians and citizens. For the politicians, what would they do in the face of this terrible dilemma? For the citizens, how could they promote biking and change the culture to have greater respect with those with less wheels? Political will and change of culture really works, especially if done fast, efficient, and sustainable.

Iloilo just got featured by the Guardian as one of the most cycle-friendly places in the world. In an article last June 1, the city was placed alongside very well-known cycling cities such as Amsterdam, Helsinki, and Santiago through a quote from Diana Mitlin via twitter:

VIN D’ HONNEUR TO BE HELD IN ILOILO CITY

After the flag raising ceremony, the President will motor to Molo church in Iloilo City and onto the restored Iloilo provincial capitol for the traditional vin d’ honneur, the first outside of Malacañang Palace.

A traditional morning reception, vin d’ honneur takes place biannually in Malacañang: first, to mark the New Year, and second, to celebrate the anniversary of Philippine Independence on June 12.

More than 50 ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps, Cabinet members and other government officers are expected to attend the rite.

May 28 to June 12 are the Flag Days. The design of the Philippine flag has roots in the flag family to which it belongs—that of the last group of colonies that sought independence from the Spanish Empire at the close of the 19th century, a group to which the Philippines belongs. These various influences are visible in the Philippine flag's design elements—the stars and stripes; the red, white, and blue; the masonic triangle; and the sun. http://bit.ly/1RHwZDd

7) ILOILO CITY

Why visit: Because you want to pig out.

If you’re after food and leisure walks to see different sights, then Iloilo City is a highly recommended travel destination!
Better if you can plan your vacation there during the Dinagyang festival. Dinagyang festival is a religious and cultural festival in Iloilo City that honours the Santo Nino and happens every fourth Sunday of January. A lot of street parties happen during Dinagyang festival so it’s the perfect activity to start your year right.
Don’t pass up on the opportunity to try the real La Paz Batchoy, and bring home some sweet goodies for your family from RGies Delicacies.

BIKERS PLANT MANGROVES ALONG ESPLANADE 2

The City Government commended the Iloilo Cycling Youth Club, Bike Groups, DENR, DPWH and all stakeholders for being “green guardians and heroes of nature.”

It is very pleasing to see our youth planting and preparing the environment for the next generations.

It is very heartwarming that the young generation nurtures and cares for a greener community for a vibrant tomorrow.

It is very noteworthy that our bikers do not only pedal for health and safety but also for environmentally-conscious and eco-friendly best practices for continued progress and sustainable development.

Sangre Azul

What it takes to be an APEC City: The Indomitable Political Will of a True Leader Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog does it well..how to get big projects done. It has nothing to do with the technical side, and everything to do with people and relationships. There are systemic problems that affect his governance; but, he has collaboration skills. He knows how to renew and reinvent. And, he turned his attention to coalition building…classic leadership lessons applied. To create the conditions that support innovation, Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog sought to build connections across companies, industries, and sectors. Becoming an APEC City requires building a supportive ecosystem surrounding it. Through his indomitable will, his attention to coalition building paid off. It’s only by joining forces across sectors that projects will get the necessary resources and expertise. Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog did that. He did that for Iloilo City. Public-private partnerships, or PPPs, are often invoked as a solution to infrastructure woes. In the P3 model, private financing fills holes in public budgets, and builders find efficiencies while government officials ensure that the public is well served. This coalition building produced a big success for Iloilo City..and still continues to do so. It takes more than a village to raise an infrastructure project. Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog turned isolated industry villages into cross-sector, multi-stakeholder coalitions. Successful coalition-building combines a common goal with something for everybody. Under a big tent, there can be room for special interests to get something they care about — jobs, neighborhood improvements, the first crack at a technology innovation, or a favorable environment for doing business. THIS is happening in Iloilo City. Of course, it is not enough to convene people only once to ask for their support, nor can leaders assume that just because something has been said, it has been heard and agreed to. Under his political will, frequent communication and reminders of the vision keep coalition members engaged throughout often-arduous processes with numerous challenges. When projects accomplish many things at once, coalition-building is easier. Renewing and reinventing infrastructure involves construction of the physical kind, but often the most important construction is human: constructing coalitions of stakeholders to envision, support, and manage projects from inception to completion. THIS is happening in ILOILO CITY..and this is what it takes to be an APEC CITY.
