The Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) will hold a contingency and emergency drill in Iloilo in preparation for ministerial meetings of the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit here July, September and October this year.
Simulation exercises on evacuation, incident management and interoperability of responders, among others will be conducted.
Iloilo will host APEC’s Infrastructure Development and Financing and Strengthening Capital Market meeting in July.
To follow in September and October will be the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) ministerial meeting, Senior Disaster Management Officials Forum, Food Security Week and High Level Policy Dialogue on Food Security and the Blue Economy and related meetingsin September and October. (PNA)
