SECRETARY Rogelio Singson of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said they will implement bigger infrastructure projects in the province and city of Iloilo this year.
We can see the impacts of the projects as soon as land on the airport,” Singson said.
Singson said the budget for Iloilo increased to P6.1 billion this year compared to P1.6 billion in 2011.
Singson commended the unity of the city and provincial governments which helped the DPWH accomplish the projects.
Singson said developments in Iloilo are definitely higher than the national average GDP growth.
The DPWH also mentioned the on-going tourism routes leading to heritage sites like the Muelley Loney Bridge which can help boost convenience and accessibility to visitors and Ilonggo people.
